Cabinet Crown Molding Guide
Crown above cabinets has to coordinate profile, projection, cabinet height and exposed returns.
Height and projection
The profile should scale as a profile, not as a stack of unrelated blocks.
Returns
Exposed cabinet ends often need a return; cabinet-to-cabinet conditions may not.
Corners
Inside and outside corners need matching profile seams so the molding does not visually jump or overlap.
Shop rule: verify dimensions, material, tooling, work zero, hold-down and the first machine program before committing a full job to material.
