CABINETCNC PRODUCTION GUIDE
Butt Joint vs Dado Cabinet Construction

Joinery changes more than an operation name—it can change where parts terminate and how machining is applied.
Butt joints
Square edges usually keep the math simple but depend on fastening and assembly strategy.
Dados
A dado introduces groove location and depth, so the mating part relationship must remain consistent through both geometry and machining.
Do not mix rules casually
Changing joinery should trigger a fresh production review rather than assuming the same cut list still applies.
Shop rule: verify dimensions, material, tooling, work zero, hold-down and the first machine program before committing a full job to material.
Where CabinetCNCPro fits
CabinetCNCPro keeps the measured design, production review and customer presentation connected. The production engine remains authoritative for parts and CNC; photoreal AI images are presentation-only.
